Can't Get The Chlorine Smell Out Of Your Hair?

Having a faint smell of chlorine follow you after a trip to the pool is not ideal. No matter how much you wash your hair the smell will not go away. Regular shampoos and conditioners work to wash and clarify hair, but they are not made to remove chlorine.

That's why you need TriHard! Their Pre and Post Hair Care formula works to remove chlorine, hydrate, soothe, and restore hair. The best part is it works on natural curly hair! Enjoy the pool without taking it home with you.

Learn how to swim

Swim Expert, Making Your Swimming Dreams A Reality!

As the founder and CEO of EverythingSwim, Marissa has helped over 300+ families learn how to swim and 10+ youth become competitive swimmers. She is native to Washington, D.C, and a graduate of both St. John’s College High School (2011) and Thee Howard University (2015). At Howard, she earned a Bachelor of Science in Sports Management and minor in Psychology.  She's swum on various club teams throughout DC and MD, for high school and college team, but that’s not how it all started. Not ever wanting to stay away from the water, her mother enrolled her in swim lessons when she was 5 years old at the local YMCA. By the age of 7, she was competing for the first time with a DC summer league team. Her competitive swimming career spanned 17 memorable years. As a decorated athlete, who mainly focused on technique, she understands what people, who are just learning how to swim, need in an instructor. Her first job as a lifeguard taught her how to teach others what she is gifted to do. In addition to experience, she is certified to teach, maintain pool chemistry, and save your life as a lifeguard trainer.

Marissa truly cares for her clients. This business is her passion. She has ensured people who have worked with her leave with confidence they previously thought was not possible. She has helped parents overcome bath time troubles with their children, fear around the pool, and even adults achieve a skill their family never thought was important. Her goal is to help 5,000 families gain these life-saving skills. Will you be next?

Top 6 Swim Questions

Answered!

How long will it take to learn to swim?

  • It depends on a few factors. The factors are current fears, prior experience, and mobility. For people that have no barriers, they can learn to swim within 4 - 6 lessons. For people that have more barriers and want to learn more, it can take anywhere from 4 - 12 + lessons.

Am I too old to learn how to swim?

  • NO! It is always a great time to learn how to swim.

Do I need a swim cap and goggles?

  • If you have hair that covers your eyes, yes. Wearing a swim cap helps to reduce distractions during lessons, especially for kids. Goggles help to protect your eyes from the chemicals in the water and allows you to open your eyes under water.

How do I stop my body from sinking in the pool?

  • Breathe! Lol We get asked this a lot and have found that people like to hold their breath which causes them to sink. Try this first and if you need more assistance sign up for swim lessons with us.

I am afraid of deep water. Can I still learn to swim?

  • Yes! Each swim lesson is catered to your personal needs and goals. For our clients that start off with major fears, we begin with mindset exercises and changing your relationship with water. Then we get into technical swim skills.

How young can my child start swim lessons?

  • The youngest we suggest is 6 months old. At this age, they will get familiar with small and large bodies of water and create fun and positive experiences.
